Cavity Prevention and Remineralization
Did you know being prone to cavities could be a result of many different factors from bacteria to dry mouth? Through a thorough examination of your medical and dental history, we can make treatment suggestions to help stop your decay from spreading and even reverse the effects of the first signs of decay (demineralization). Our hygiene department offers in-office and at-home therapies that can make a lasting difference in the health of your mouth. We routinely use topical applications of fluoride to help strengthen weakened teeth. These treatments are absorbed directly into the enamel and have been proven to be both safe and effective over the years. We do understand that some patients may prefer not to use fluoride as a part of their treatment process. For this, we offer other treatment options as well. Please tell our staff if you would like more information on fluoride free options for cavity prevention.
